Puss in Boots

Stamford Pantomime Players is the longest serving society in Stamford and they have been performing shows since 1951. Most of them right here at The Corn Exchange Theatre. They have been very successful over the past few years, being nominated for NODA awards for best pantomime and summer show and winning the best pantomime 3 years in a row from 2023 – 2025. They are so excited to be bringing their Christmas Pantomime to the Stage – ‘Puss In Boots’. A fun tale of a talking cat, magical fairy, mean ogre, scary ghosts, and lots of love and laughter can only spell one thing – a cracking and original take on this traditional pantomime.

Dame Hermione is a widow with 3 sons. The eldest 2 sons kick their Mother and the youngest son, Ralph out, along with their cat, so they find themselves in a nearby village looking for somewhere to live. One of the villagers, Maisy, sees Ralph and falls in love with him, Ralph then meets Princess Coral and falls in love with her. Trip(Princess Coral’s friend), has been in love with Maisy for ages but is unable to pluck up the courage to talk to her. Meanwhile, the bad ogre wakes up and torments the villagers, so the good fairy makes some magic boots for Ralph to help them out, but instead of Ralph wearing them, his moggy old cat puts them on and turns into a talking ‘Puss in Boots’. He tries to help his friend Ralph, win over the King so he can marry the Princess, but it all goes wrong, and puss is thrown out.

Will Puss ever rid the village of the mean Ogre? Will Ralph be able to marry his true love Princess Coral? Will Trip win over his true love, Maisy. The only way to find out is to buy tickets and come and watch the excitement unfold in front of your eyes, live on stage.
