Stamford Showstoppers youth group are back with their next production Shrek Jr, They are excited to be returning after their successful productions of Matilda Jr (2025) and their amazing youth production of Frozen Jr (2024) which Won the NODA Best youth Production Award, and the Best Regional Production Shield for 2024 in Noda 4N (Beating all the adult productions in the area) and they can’t wait to take to the stage again with this amazing tale.

Shrek Jr. is an adapted musical version of the popular story where the ogre Shrek sets out to rescue Princess Fiona to get his swamp back from Lord Farquaad, but ends up on an adventure with his new friend, Donkey. After Shrek’s swamp is invaded by banished fairytale creatures, he agrees to rescue the princess from a dragon’s tower in exchange for his swamp being returned. However, the journey to the tower and the princess herself bring unexpected twists, music, comedy, dancing and fairy tale creatures! and they learn that looks can be deceiving! and there is beauty in everything!

Packed with high-energy dance numbers and catchy songs, ‘I Got you Beat’ ‘ Freak Flag Fly’, ‘ I’m a Believer’ Shrek JR. is a joyous fairytale romp. Children and adults alike will be thrilled and delighted by the magical story just like the film we all love.
