Little Shop Of Horrors

Stamford Showstoppers are back with their latest production: “Little Shop of Horrors”. They are excited to be returning after their successful productions of Come From Away (September 2025) and their amazing February productions of A Chorus Line and Matilda jr (February 2025) and they can’t wait to take to the stage again with this amazing tale that has gained cult status over the last few years.

Little Shop of Horrors is described as a ‘comedy horror rock musical’ with music by Alan Menken.
Meek flower shop assistant Seymour pines for co-worker Audrey. During a total eclipse, he discovers an unusual plant that has strange dietary requirements. As the plant grows and becomes more demanding it promises fame and fortune, which leads Seymour to extreme measures to feed the plant.

The musical is loosely based on the low-budget 1960 black comedy film The Little Shop of Horrors, but follows the story of the 1980’s musical remake with Rick Moranis and Steve Martin in the style of early 1960s rock and roll, doo-wop and early Motown.

Packed with quirky numbers and catchy songs including, “Little Shop of Horrors”, “Suddenly Seymour”, “Git It (Feed me)”, “Somewhere that’s Green” Little Shop has become a magical, theatrical, cult show, which challenges the norm. You’ll be entertained and delighted by the magical story just like the film we all love, and wonder at the impressive plant – which needs to be seen to be believed!

Celebrating 6 years, they are back with this, their 15th Musical. Director Nicola says, ”After a wonderful production of Come From Away this September, we can’t wait to take to the stage again, this time with Little Shop of Horrors. We have another fabulous cast and so much talent on stage. We invite you all to come and join us at the Stamford Corn Exchange Theatre this February 2026”.
