The 60s hit recording group THE TORNADOS shot to fame, as the backing band for BILLY FURY. After leaving Billy the band enjoyed a number one smash hit with
the instrumental “TELSTAR” which has reputedly sold over 10 million copies world wide. To this day THE TORNADOS are one
of the most exciting 60s bands to be seen on the theatre circuit.
The Springfields, Tom, Dusty, Mike and Hurst, were voted Top British group in 1961 and 1962, and were the first British vocal
group to have a Top 10 hit single in the USA in April 1962, ‘Silver Threads and Golden Needles’. Original member Mike Hurst is now back on the road with The
New Springfields. In addition to all of the Springfields hits Mike Hurst produced over 50 hits for stars such as Cat Stevens,
Manfred Man, The Move, Showaddywaddy and Shaking Stevens. Expect to hear some great hits tonight!
SOUNDS FORCE 5. Voted top 60s band in East Anglia by VAN MORRISION, the band appeared alongside such iconic stars as JIMI HENDRIX, CREAM and PINK FLOYD. They have recently been featured on BBC TV and ITV Breakfast Time.
